WINEMAKING

The Tempranillo fruit was selectively handpicked from 20-year-old vines.

Gently destemmed and cold-soaked for 7 days.

Slowly fermented for a further 14 days, then gently pressed into a mixture of new and 2-year-old French Oak barrels. ​

TASTING NOTE

The Curtis Small Batch Tempranillo bursts with vibrant aromas of dark cherry, red plum and hints of dried fig, layered with subtle notes of spice, mocha and earthy nuances. On the palate, this McLaren Vale expression is juicy, medium-bodied and beautifully textured, offering ripe red and dark fruits supported by supple tannins and a savoury edge typical of the variety.

A touch of well-judged oak adds warmth and complexity without overshadowing the fruit. The finish is smooth and persistent, leaving lingering impressions of cherry, cocoa and gentle spice.
