WINEMAKING

Curtis Family Vineyards sources fruit from a combination of owned vineyards and premium McLaren Vale growers.

The blend of individual vineyards and sub-regional characteristics is the key to the resulting style.

Selectively Machine Harvested in the cool of Night and directly pressed to preserve the delicate floral-citrus spectrum. The base wine is cold-settled and slowly fermented.

A portion of 10% is matured briefly in old French oak barriques to introduce subtle texture and a whisper of autolytic complexity without imposing oak signature.

Secondary fermentation in a pressure tank follows using the charmat method, with extended lees ageing to build mouthfeel, brioche nuance, and a fine and persistent bead.

Aging potential: drink now - 10 years

TASTING NOTE

The Heritage blanc de blanc "white of whites" displays colours of pale straw with golden hues. The aroma has lifted citrus, pear and melon notes. Lemon, lime and grapefruit flavours with a slight hint of French oak construct the palate.

The acidity and fruit flavours give a lingering, well-balanced finish.
